Cerebroprotein Hydrolysate for Injection 60 mg

 

Introduction

Cerebroprotein Hydrolysate is a neurotrophic and neuroprotective agent derived from porcine brain tissue. It contains low molecular weight peptides and free amino acids that are biologically active within the central nervous system (CNS).

Available as an injectable solution, typically in 60 mg/2 ml ampoules, it is used in several neurological and neurodegenerative disorders.

Mode of Action

Cerebroprotein Hydrolysate works via multiple mechanisms that support and protect neurons:

Neuroprotective Effects

• • Reduces oxidative stress, excitotoxicity, and ischemia-induced neuronal injury
  • Protects brain tissue during acute neurological events (e.g., stroke, trauma)

Neurotrophic Activity

• • Promotes neurogenesis and neuroplasticity
  • Mimics endogenous neurotrophic factors like NGF, BDNF, and GDNF

Cognitive Enhancement

• • Enhances learning and memory
  • Improves synaptic remodelling and metabolic activity in neurons (oxygen/glucose utilization)

Dosage & Administration

• Dose: 60 mg/day IV infusion or slow injection
• Duration: 10–20 days/course; may repeat as needed
• Dilution: In 100 mL normal saline, infuse over 30–60 mins
• Do not mix with other drugs in the same IV line

Precautions

• Avoid in severe renal failure, seizures, porcine allergy
• Use with caution in pregnancy and lactation
