Introduction

This combination helps in managing anxiety, panic attacks, and depressive symptoms.
Mode of Action
- Escitalopram (SSRI, 10 mg):
- Increases serotonin levels in the brain by inhibiting its reuptake.
- Enhances mood, reduces anxiety, and promotes emotional stability.
- Clonazepam (Benzodiazepine, 0.25 mg):
- Acts on gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors to produce a calming effect.
- Reduces excessive brain activity, controlling anxiety and panic attacks.
Indications
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
- Panic Disorder
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Social Anxiety Disorder
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) (off-label)
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: One tablet daily, preferably at night; adjust as needed.
- Elderly: Lower dose under supervision.
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol and sedatives.
- Do not stop abruptly (withdrawal risk).
- Use cautiously in liver/kidney impairment.
- Monitor for suicidal thoughts, especially in young adults.
