Meropenem and Sulbactam – IV

MODE OF ACTION

  •  Meropenem inhibits bacterial growth by disrupting cell walls, while Sulbactam prevents bacterial resistance by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes.
  •  Together, they enhance each other’s effectiveness against a wider range of bacteria.

DOSAGE

  • 1.5 gm BD  as directed by physician

INDICATION

  • It is effective against conditions such as pneumonia.
  • Lung and bronchial infections in patients with Cystic fibrosis.
  • Bacterial septicemia.
  • Complicated urinary tract infections.
  • Infections in the abdomen.
  • Post-childbirth infections.
  • Complicated skin and soft tissue infections
