Mode Of Action
- Thiamine combines with adenosine triphosphate helps in carbohydrate metabolism. Thiamine is distributed in all tissues. The highest concentrations occur in liver, brain, kidney and heart. When thiamine intake is insufficient, tissues become depleted of their vitamin content. Pyridoxine is important for the breakdown of protein, fats, and carbohydrates from foods. Nicotinamide is used to help growth and good health. Ascorbic acid is used to help growth and good health.
Preparation and Administration Instructions
- Add 5 mL of Vial 1 and 5 ml of Vial 2 to at least 500 mL to 1000 ml, of intravenous dextrose or saline solutions. Minimum infusion period is 1-2 hours.
- Discard unused portion.
- Visually inspect for particulate matter and discoloration prior to administration.
- After RELVIN-IV is diluted in an intravenous infusion, refrigerate the resulting solution unless it is to be used immediately, and use the solution within 24 hours after dilution.
- Minimize exposure to light because some of the vitamins in RELVIN-IV, particularly riboflavin, are light sensitive.
DOSAGE
- In the prophylaxis of Alcoholic Liver Disease, 1 Kit (A+B) once daily for 3-5 days.
- In the treatment of Alcoholic Liver Disease, 2 Kits (A+B) TID (Three times a day) for 2 days.
- In the maintenance of Alcoholic Liver Disease, 1 Kit (A+B) once daily for 5 days.

- Alcoholic Liver Disease.
- Alcohol Withdrawal.
- Chronic Alcoholics.
- Septic Shock Patient with Alcoholic Disorders.
