YYNX

YYNX 400mg

ALSAME(S-Adenosyl-l-methionine) is used in the treatment of liver disease. It is used in liver conditions associated with reduced bile formation (intrahepatic cholestasis).

It is a common co-substrate involved in methyl group transfers, transsulfuration, and aminopropylation. Although these anabolic reactions occur throughout the body, most SAM-e is produced and consumed in the liver

YYNX is a natural substance found in cells, tissue, and body fluids. It is produced from methionine, an amino acid containing sulfur, and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The nutritional supplement is harvested from yeast (fungus) cell culture and is used in liver conditions associated with reduced bile formation (intrahepatic cholestasis)

Description

MODE OF ACTION:

YYNX exerts many key functions in the liver, including serving as a precursor for cysteine, 1 of 3 amino acids of glutathione—the major physiologic defense mechanism against oxidative stress.

YYNX is a natural substance present in the cells of body. It is a direct metabolite of the essential amino acid L-methionine. YYNX plays a crucial biochemical role in the body by donating a one-carbon methyl group in a process called transmethylation. YYNX, formed from the reaction of L-methionine and adenosine triphosphate catalyzed by the enzyme S-adenosylmethionine synthetase, is the methyl-group donor in the biosynthesis of both DNA and RNA nucleic acids, phospholipids, proteins, epinephrine, melatonin, creatine, and other molecules.
